All about Xlov:
Xlov is a kpop group that consists of 4 members, Haru, Hyun, Rui, and the leader, Wumuti. They debuted on January 7, 2025 with their song
"I'mma Be" and have grown in popularity with their unique genderless concept. (Please note the entertainment company stated that the concept is different than their identities and just means being able to break gender stereotypes of what each gender can do, although some members have stated that they are okay with people using different pronouns) All of the members perform and experiment with androgynous styles and promotes people to be themselves.
One thing that's different about Xlov is that they are redefining Kpop and Korea. Korea is a conservative country and Xlov is a big step in the right direction of acknowledging queer identites and overall being yourself. Despite them only having the concept of being genderless, from content and songs I've seen from them I can assure you they are incredibly supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and push the limits of idols, especially Kpop where this would all be considered taboo 10 years ago.
With the group being different, they also come with backlash from people and shows. For example, when they performed their SBS Inkigayo performance, a lot of Hyun's lines got censored like "pull the trigger" and "take it slow boy, I'm gonna kill it hard." Fans deemed the change as excessive due to Inkigayo being inconsistent in what they choose to censor and not censor.
